It was late afternoon, the sun was setting over the Bristol docks and a soft mist was rising from the river. The aroma of exotic spices wafted around the narrow cobbled streets of St Philip’s Marsh, a small yet thriving area of Bristol.

I had come here in search of relaxation and restoration, and what better place to find it than at a massage parlour. I had heard nothing but good things about this one – and I was about to find out why.

Tanya asked me to pick a massage oil that I wanted to be used. There were several available, ranging from sweet almond to sandalwood. I settled on sweet almond, its sweet scent immediately calming me down.

Tanya then asked me to lie down on the bed and disrobe. I did as instructed and felt the tension in my body start to ebb away. She then proceeded to massage my entire body, from the tips of my toes to the base of my neck. Her hands felt like velvet as she massaged me, her fingers tracing circles and applying pressure when needed.
